The Lord's Supper

The evening before Jesus was crucified, he took bread and wine, saying, "This is my body. . . . This is the new covenant in my blood." At our Lord's Supper service, we participate in the new covenant as we partake of bread and wine in remembrance of our Savior, who gave his body for us and shed his blood so that we might be forgiven. Our ceremony includes the washing of feet, which represents our spiritual cleansing in Christ and points us to the Christian life of humility and service in love.
